Color Me Happy for a Picture Perfect Birthday

Guess what?  I am using my Stampin’ Blends in today’s project.  I just can’t help myself.  I always loved coloring as a youngster and it appears I never outgrew it!

I have combined two stamp sets that really have absolutely nothing to do with each other, but this is just one example of how versatile these stamp sets can be – one just needs to think “outside the box” a bit to see where your craftiness will take you.  This is where mine took me today:

The Color Me Happy stamp set is part of the Color Me Happy Bundle that was released with the introduction of the new alcohol markers from Stampin’ Up! –  Stampin’ Blends.  The bundle includes the stamp set and a project kit that makes 16 cards (4 each of 4 designs).  I did not purchase the bundle, but the stamp set was a must have for me because of the two birds and those cute paper lanterns.  My project today was inspired by one of the cards from the kit.

Here are the Stampin’ Up! products that were used in the design of this card all of which can quickly be added to your shopping cart by clicking on the thumbnails below:

To make the card front, the DSP is cut to 4.00″ x 5.25″ and the Whisper White cardstock is cut to 3.25″ x 5.00″.  All of the paper lanterns are stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink directly onto the Whisper White cardstock and one of the round lanterns is stamped also on a scrap piece of Whisper White and then fussy cut and attached on top of stamped lantern with dimensionals.

If you need further instructions as to the design of this card do not hesitate to leave me a comment or email me.  I will be more than happy to answer any questions you may have.

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope you leave here inspired to put stamps to ink to paper.  Until next time, stamp on my friends.

Linda
