Greetings my stamping friends! As you can see, my website is back in working order. Thankfully I was able to get it back online with the help of the professionals at DreamHost. I am so thankful that I bit the bullet a few years ago and paid to have a hosted website. It has paid for itself on more than one occasion!
While I am still waiting on my packages of swap cards to arrive back in the mail, I wanted to share with you a Christmas in July card that I made using the Christmas Barn Bundle from page 28 of the July to December 2022 Mini Catalog. This was one of my must have bundles that I was going to use in one of the group swaps, but we didn’t have enough participants for the last group. Their loss is your gain!
This is a “shaker card”. I used one of the clear envelopes* around the decorated layer and enclosed about three pinches of the Effervescent Elements before sealing it up and attaching to the card base with Tear & Tape. If I had sequins, that would have been better, but I didn’t have any that was current product.
(*NOTE: The clear envelope with be larger than the layer of the card. You will folder over the adhesive end as far as you can. You will then need to use a piece of Tear & Tape at top to turn down approximately .25″ to make it a tight fit to piece.)
I used a piece of the Pine Trees DSP from the Boughs of Holly 12 x 12 Designer Series Paper pack which I cut down to 4″ x 5.25″ and matted with Mossy Meadow card stock cut to 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″.
For the barn itself, I stamped it once on Basic White card stock and cut it out with the coordinating die. I also stamped it on Real Red card stock and hand cut the body of the barn and the chimney and glued them over the Basic White piece. I brushed all the white areas with Wink of Stella to make the snow glittery.
