I heard on the news Thursday morning that there are something like a 103 days until Christmas! Oh my, how time flies as you get older (or at least that has been my experience).
In keeping with my theme of late — that is, focusing on projects using the Stampin’ Up! products available in the Holiday Catalog — I designed today’s card using the Cheerful Christmas stamp set and the Filigree Frame embossing folder. These are two other products that I simply fell in love with when they were revealed at Convention in July and they were at the top of my wish list when the Holiday Catalog went live in late August.
Are you wondering how I got the two different colors of ink on the stamped image? Well let me tell you, then. Rather than coloring the rather large stamp with Stampin’ Write markers, I inked the entire stamp in Cherry Cobbler (Classic Stampin’ Pad) and then used a Blender Pen to remove the ink from the pine needles and recolored just those small areas with an Old Olive Stampin’ Write marker. BUT before stamping onto card stock I “huffed” on the entire stamp to remoisten any ink that may have started to dry. And there you go, that’s how I did it.
And here are the Stampin’ Up! products that I used in the design of this card (click on the images to get the details on how you can order them for yourself).
Thank you again for stopping by my blog today. I hope you leave here inspired to put stamps to ink to paper.
It is rather late and I have work tomorrow and then will be traveling to Oklahoma, so I will not have time to add any posts to share with you until my return on Sunday. I expect they will be amazing so come back to see what’s new.
Until next time, stamp on my friends,
Linda
